M Vardhan (93 runs of 111 balls with 10 fours and 2 sixes) andP Kumar (23 runs of 18 balls) gave a steady start putting on 34 runsfor the first wicket. Vardhan and PJ Das (51 runs of 62 balls with 4fours and a 6) then added 94 runs for the third wicket to make EastZone’s victory certain.Earlier, West Zone scored 198 runs for nine wickets in 50 overschiefly due to the efforts of SP Bagul (40 runs of 81 balls) and PJadeja (52 runs of 59 balls). They shared a fourth wicket stand of 87runs in 21.1 overs. But in the end overs, West lost their way whenthree quick wickets fell in the form of P Jadeja, NR Rathod and HDRawle to the bowling of Gaurav Sharma (3 for 33).
