Despite these setbacks, Argentina remain in a strong position in the South American World Cup qualifying standings. They currently hold a five-point lead at the top of the table, putting them in an excellent spot to secure a place in the 2026 World Cup, which will be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
During this international break, their first challenge will be against Uruguay on March 21 at the Centenario Stadium in Montevideo.
