Spain and Barcelona star Aitana Bonmati has been crowned the best women's player of the year.

The Spain sensation was given the The Best FIFA Women's Player award for 2023, beating competition from Jenni Hermoso and Linda Caicedo to the prize. It follows her 2023 Ballon d'Or win, where she was crowned the top footballer there, as well.

Barcelona's 2023 campaign was beyond stupendous, and Bonmati, was above all others in a category of her own. A truly sensational footballer, she helped lead the Catalan club to a continental treble, where they scored 173 goals in all competitions, conceding just 21 times along the way. They went 64 games unbeaten in Liga F in 2022-23, with Bonmati crafting the midfield like a wizard.
