Paxten Aaronson scored the game-winner in the 55th minute, making the difference for Utrecht in the 2-1 win over AZ Alkmaar. The goal was a fantastic first-time finish, with the USMNT player smashing a shot from just outside of the box to lead his team to three points.

The goal was a substantial for Utrecht, who move up to second in the Eredivisie with the win. The club is five points behind league-leaders PSV, but do have a game in hand.
It's also a big goal for Aaronson, who was a member of the U.S. Olympic squad this past summer. It was his first in an Utrecht shirt, and it came on a weekend in which all American players will be motivated to impress new U.S. men's national team head coach Mauricio Pochettino.

The goal was Aaronson's first in the Eredivisie for Utrecht, but not his first goal in the Dutch league. Aaronson, who is on loan from Eintracht Frankfurt, scored four goals in 14 games for Vitesse last season.
